Industrial Trial and Tribulations

Throughout the first half of the Industrial Revolution there was many examples of terrible filthy living conditions, grusome working condtions that change over time , and the loss of traditional way of living, these examples were observed by reformers, and doctors in all types of ways. These reformers and doctors are: Charles Thackrah, Andrew Ure, Edwin Chadwick, Friedrich Engels. The revolution itself gave us mass production and machinery but it also gave disease and caused bad health issues, it gave life that unfulfilling feeling and cause serious damage to the world. The Industrial Revolution was a huge change in production in which machines took the place of tools. Steam and other sources took place of the human working and animals working the skilled workers were replaced by unskilled workers with less pay. The Industrial Revolution resulted in work that had been performed in the home by family members, such as spinning yarn, being performed with the help of large powerful machines in factories, such as the early textile and cotton mill.

Within these living conditions asserted by Edwin Chadwick “ Poor Law Commissioners on an Inquiry into the Sanitary Conditions of the Labouring Population of Great Britian (1842)” Chadwick says that “many of the diseases that appear in Great Britian are caused by the labouring class mostly by decomposing animals and vegetable substances, by damp and filth, by close overcrowded dwellings whether dwelling in seperate houses, in rural villages, in small town ,in larger towns. From the improvement of health and living and working conditions this made the Industrial Revolution.The industrial revolution was a time of great imagination and improvements. The inventions that allowed new products to be made created a demand that caused a continuous. It was almost never the intent of the inventors, scientists, and other brilliant people to cause such a chasm between the working class and the industrial machine, but it was still created and sorta laid out the future and how we operate now and the mass production of certain things and how safety and health are our main concerns well back in the 19th century history repeats itself.
