India - My Thoughts

America has been my home for the past 4 years. During these years, I have had the chance to meet and interact with people from different countries. I have come to know that people from my country, India, form a substantial part of the American population. Every tenth person I see outside, in a mall or in the college, is an Indian. Having born and grown up in India and currently living in America, the thought of what is so similar and different between these two countries often cross my mind. I would like to share some thoughts on three main similarities followed by 3 differences between these two countries.
The first striking similarity between these two countries is their cultural diversity. India is a subcontinent in its true sense. Each and every part of India is different. There are 28 states and each state has its own language, culture, and cuisine. People move to different states in search of jobs, better living and other reasons.
