When it comes to dating a fraternity guy, you don’t just date the guy; you date the fraternity as a whole, which comes with a few pros and cons. This relationship means that you must go to all of the parties and be there to show that you are a supportive girlfriend, but also know when to give him his space so that he can have his “bro” time. In the time of this relationship you may gain new guy friends who will be there for you through thick and thin, but there will be some times you are going to have to compete for the attention of your guy when he is with his brothers. There is a stereotype for a “frat” guy. You know that he needs it and that he will remember that you gave him this time with his brothers, and who knows, maybe next time he will choose you instead. From being supportive to knowing when to give him his space, being the girlfriend of a fraternity boy is a task. You never know what the road ahead is going to be like, but you know that it will be worth it in the end. Through the good, the bad, and the ugly this relationship will change not only your man, but you as well. Whether it is for the better or for the worse all depends on who you are and what fraternity and are becoming a part of.
