Immigration has been a provocative topic for decades. Recently, there has been numerous suggestions made by the president Barack Obama in order to modernize the immigration reform and fulfill what most people yearn for: an opportunity at the American Dream. While some in Congress want the bill to be passed others don 't. Many people, including in Congress believe in myths about immigration, but what they fail to realize is that these myths are not true. Those myths are the fundamental components that generate tension in Congress from three different points of views which are Socialist, Liberal, and Conservatism. This leads to one of the most important questions asked, should Congress pass the new Immigration Reform issued by Barack Obama?
Firstly, one of the most common myths is that undocumented immigrants steal American jobs. There is evidence that higher rates of immigration have lead to job creations and increases in productivity by the labor force. Immigrants create new jobs with their purchasing power and the new businesses they start which in the long run actually helps greatly the economy. According to one recent study, immigrant entrepreneurs founded 25 percent of all U.S. engineering and technology companies launched in the last decade such as Google.
