Integrity is one of the most important traits a person traits can possess. There are many instances where Integrity can affect a person’s life in a positive way. If someone have a relationship with someone who has a lot of integrity it can be a great thing. The opposite can also happen if someone who does not show integrity or someone in a relationship doesn’t show integrity it can be a very bad thing. Integrity is becoming not as important as it should be in society nowadays. Integrity is an important part of society because it affects society by helping the community, individuals, and such historical figures such as Abraham Lincoln in a positive way. Integrity help businesses and places in the community in a great way. Researcher Laura Reave, from the University of Western Ontario, has proven and shown that great leadership success begins with personal integrity. (The Integrity) In the business world one of the main things companies look for is great Integrity because they need to be able to trust you. Jim Ludema writes, “The most important thing you can do for your business is a strategy that can’t be measured with any metric. He does this so that he can set an example for his kids. He wants to show the kids that you need to stand up for what you believe in even if no one else does. Atticus knows that he will not win but he knows that taking this case up is the right thing to do. Atticus says “, Simply because we were licked a hundred years before we started is no reason for us not to try to win.” (101) Atticus wants to set an example for his children about Integrity. He wants to show his children that you need to stand up for the right thing even if it means humiliation or disapproval from others. The Integrity Atticus shows lets him be himself and shows the things that he believes are right to others. Atticus even goes on to say in the book that he could not walk around with his head high if he didn’t defend Tom Robinson. Atticus even goes on to say “, Before I can live with other folks I've got to live with myself.”
