Unfortunately, for almost two centuries, people who read and even analyze Poe have failed to understand what Poe was trying to get them to learn. That is, until now. The craft elements everyone knows were used by Poe when he wrote his stories were used to create a universal theme, that is: Death is unavoidable, and it can only be quickened, not lengthened.
