A child is playing the latest and hottest game, when his mother runs in snatching the plug from the console, “These things are useless and corrupt the brain, go find something else to do!” Video games don’t really corrupt the brain as some people think. Actually, research has shown that there are negative effects, but also positive such as giving the brain a real workout.

Video games have been used as a medication for elders. It would help them with multi-tasking and increase their attention spans. This is not only for elders, but it's for basically anyone. According to the California Institute of Children, “In recent studies, we have found that kids with Dyslexia who played video games would have a better outcome than a kid who doesn’t play.” Video games have also helped with memory. A study in the University of California made a game which requires a lot of memory and multi-tasking to figure out.
