Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything. -George Bernard Nobody can go their whole life without changing. Change is a normal thing that everybody goes through it could be good or bad. Many things about the main character Tom Sawyer has changed throughout the book. In my paper you will read on how he changed in good ways and bad ways. Tom is like a dog he could be stubborn one day but giving the other. Through the book Tom changed as if he were a butterfly. Tom Sawyer faced many things that made him have to change a little bit or maybe a ton. In the book Tom witnessed a murder and he had to be responsible and promise along with Huck that it would never leave them two. He started to act better once he found out people actually cared about him. Before that realization he was more mischievous than many other boys. He would sneak and pull pranks behind Aut polls back and not tell her. He'd run away from his problems so that he wouldn't get into trouble. Throughout seventh grade I've changed and learned more academically. This year I tried out Spanish and even though I didn't do so well and it wasn't my favorite thing I managed to pass with a B which I'm pretty proud of myself for. In Math I've learned and refreshed on skills that I either didn't know or already knew but learned more. My Test scores stayed the same which is pretty good considering the tests are harder. Last year I never really had to be serious about studying and pretty much did okay on all tests. This year I've had to study and do the study guides. As for changing socially and emotionally I've changed quite a bit. My friends have changed and one of my good friends I'm not so close to anymore but now I have even better friends and I'm happy where I
