WW2 was one of the bloodiest wars ever. Hitler was the one who started it all with an invasion on Poland. Hitler was a dictator and wanted to conquer all of Europe. But Hitler could be defeated. The Germans surrendered on May 7, 1945. Hitler launched the war on September 1, 1939, so the war took 6 years.
