John Calvin (1509-1564) born in Naylon France was originally sent to attend the University of Paris in 1523 by his Father to become a priest. But soon later discovered that this wasn’t the career path that he wanted to study and decided to study in being a lawyer instead. He attended in law schools of Orleans. Around this time Calvil help continue upbringing of the protestant reformation, I think that its important to note that he did have a feud with Michael Servetus and his thoughts on some theology’s where. Not only did he argue with Michael but he also argued and questioned the higher authority like the pope and opened up new ideas for others to look at the bible in a whole different way. John Calvin was a very inspirational person for his time, he help in the introduction of humanism and which is how he helped bring light to the renaissance. He also help a large group of people to realize that there was a lot of things that needed to be re-thought about the church, he overall worked a overwhelming some. He can be seen as a very interesting character do to the fact that he changed the plans that his father had in place for him, to do his own thing. You could even say he’s an outlier (references to the book we are reading for English). With him being an outlier he was able to climb the ranks of the reformation act ladder.
