High School Struggles

Being a senior in high school is probably one of the most stressful things a person goes through in their entire life. There are so many factors that add up to equal this stress; things like the normal high school classes, homework for those, dual credit courses, homework for those, thinking about and finding a college, scholarships, work (to pay for said college), and to top it all off, finding out what to do with the rest of my life. The struggle is real and it is prominent. This entire process will all lead to the rest of my life. It is the start of my career, new friends, and so many new experiences. How does it all start? I came home and over the course of a few weeks, I filled out my admissions application and put in my admissions fee. Then it was just the wait to receive my acceptance letter/email. To be honest, I do not remember which came first. I was able to put a downpayment for the dorms to have the experience of living on campus thanks to the email reminders, otherwise I would have completely forgotten. When I had went on my last visit, they had given me a checklist with dates and deadlines. That has been extremely helpful, because I have issues with dates that are not written down or printed off. It was at this time I could not really ignore the vast expense of college.Yearly tuition is extremely daunting for a high schooler, even if I have two jobs. This started my process of finding scholarships. As a matter of fact, February 11th will be my first real scholarship opportunity. I will be applying for their incoming freshmen theatre scholarship. In preparing for this, it really has taught me to be independant and make sure I have prepared everything to the best of my abilities. I also have the responsibility of finding other scholarship opportunities and cannot have everything handed to me. There have been a few random scholarships I have applied for online, but have not received one. They are the ones that gave me my strong work ethic and living realistically. They want what is best for me and I love them to death for it. The have been with me all throughout grade school, middle school, high school, and will be with me through college. Mom and Dad were the ones that made me get those good grades and do my homework. They encouraged me to take the dual credit classes to help me get some of my general educations out of the way for a cheaper cost. They were beyond supportive in the college I chose and were static that will be actually going to college. They always reminded me to apply for every single scholarship that I could. They were always there when I wanted to have a serious conversation about life goals and gave me, sometimes brutal, but honest opinions and I appreciated it. The struggle might be there and might be prominent, but it is bearable, thanks to them. I am ready for the rest of my life. I am ready for all of the new experiences my life will bring and I will embrace it wholeheartedly as well as the lemons and curve balls life has to
