High School Concert Observation

On November 17th , 2014 , my brother invited me to attend his San Leandro High School social justice concert which was at held in the school museum around seven o’ clock. As I attended there were about six performances that included the students from my younger brothers senior and junior social justice class. The music that was displayed was a mixture of rhythm and blues, rock , pop as well as soul. As the night began the opening play started out with a orchestra of about twenty students and they performed “ I’m Not The Only One ” by Sam Smith. This vocal was accompanied by instruments such as the piano and drums. In this performance the meter was triple from my opinion , the tempo was slow , and the dynamics was loud. It was located right next to the students school entrance and it was very large in seating and performance capacity. There were many seats available for parents and their children to sit and watch their classmates , siblings and children perform. The stage was just as big as the area available for the seating and performers had a chance to maneuver around the stage to express themselves in the best way they could choose to. The museum was a perfect venue used for the performers. It gave the students a lot of room to perform the songs they wanted and also the audience a clear view of what was being performed. I loved the fact that with each performance I could clearly hear the words and the melodies and instruments of the songs displayed. The audience that attended that night was very large as well. All the seats within the room filled as the concert began and the ages were about five years old and up. As far as the overall idea of what the seniors class and junior class was trying to accomplish I think they did an excellent job. Soul society members wanted to do a concert to give congratulations to all the graduation seniors of this year and decided to hold a concert because some members of soul society would be going off to
