Henry Ford lived as an example of his own word through his career .He impacted the citizens of the united states because he was the first person to make cars for working, he started one of the biggest car companies ever and it is still thriving today and he invented the assembly line. July, 30, 1863, Mary Ford gave birth to a healthy baby boy that was named named Henry. He was born on a farm close to Dearborn Michigan. He was a naturally curious person and later on wondered how engines work. He saw a farm machine moving itself and that inspired him to explore further into engines. Expensive cars only made for transportation. Henry ford just wasn't comfortable with luxury cars. He thought these cars had potential for work. He began working on working cars that would be better for work. He was actually one of the first to start making cars for work. His first self propelling vehicle was called the quadricycle. It consisted of 4 bicycles strapped together in a orderly fashion. It was propelled by a gas powered engine. It didn't have enough power for work but it was able to transport a person. The Ford motor company that still exists today started in june,16, 1903 and still exists over 100 years later. And its still making vehicles for work. The cars have become a little more luxurious over the years but some are still made for work. The company still thrives and improves today. It has a large variety of cars and trucks all with different purposes. Henry Ford invented something that most all companies use today, he invented the assembly line. The assembly line is why Henry Ford was successful, when he tried on his first company he could make the cars but he couldn't make the fast enough. On his second attempt with his company he could make quality cars quickly. The assembly line is used in almost every company that sells products.
