After watching "Harvest of Shame” I thought the movie was very fair, accurate, and responsible. In the movie Murrow informed the audience of the issue that was happening in society. Murrow makes the audience aware of his message by interviewing families and people who are living and experiencing what is going on. I thought that this movie was fair because he did not stereotype or have a bias standpoint on the top. His story line was accurate and he informed his audience on how people were suffering through these times. When he used facts on how much they got paid, and by showing them working it shows the information he was portraying to his audience was accurate. In one of the rules in SPJ code it states, “ Be vigilant and courageous about holding those with power accountable. Give voice to the voiceless.” This shows Munro was accurate in his movie because he gathered information from people that were being slaves and experiencing what he was talking about. However, in Robert Krulwich’s Radiolab interview I found that the interview could have gone more proficiently. I did not think the interview was very fair to Eng Yang, and his niece Kao Kalia Yang. For example, you can tell Murrow is loyal in the topic he is discussing about because he is going around and interviewing many different people and filming what they are doing just to send a message to the world. Moreover, in Krulwichs story you can see his loyalty towards this interview because at the end of the interview he talks about how he wanted to find evidence against the science. In SPJ Code of ethics they seem to consider the rule to “Boldly tell the story of the diversity and magnitude of the human experience. Seek sources whose voices we seldom hear.” In each interview they had people to try to explain a topic that their voices were not being heard
