Throughout the course of the discussion, a number of topics were discussed regarding Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet. The initial discussion began with the contemplation of whether Hamlet is a hero or not. Along with this raised another question, whether Hamlet is morally conscious with his thoughts and actions. Parallels between the Hamlet’s and Laretes’s desire for revenge were drawn, as well as Hamlet’s apparent love for Ophelia. Eventually the conversation shifted from analysis of specific characters to viewing the work as a whole. The topic of the various statements on different situations Shakespeare addresses within this play was brought up as well. Though his issues are more dramatized due to the production of the play, his character in general is relatable. Throughout the entire play, though at different stages, Hamlet struggles with parental issues, self-identity and the contemplation of suicide, the loyalty of friends, and romantic relationships. Even if teenagers have not experienced the exact situation of Hamlet, there is some type of topic, in which Hamlet speaks on or goes through, that has some correlation with their own lives. Especially during the teenage years, we have issues with our parents or families involving separation or divorce, coming to terms with who we are as a person and what we believe in, true friendships, and girlfriends/boyfriends. Altogether, Hamlet, though referred to as thirty years old by the gravedigger, undergoes hardships that many modern teens face today. 
 Although the discussion went smoothly, for the next seminar my goal is to pose more questions for discussion and to become less hesitant in responding to questions or disagreeing with someone else’s opinion. Though I do take a stand on the different questions presented during the discussion, it is not as often because of my hesitations to voice my opinions. As a group goal, we should try to include everyone in the conversation because it is becoming more evident whose opinions are voiced more than others. However, this
