Inspiring Others Great leaders have been around since the start of primitive civilization. Examples of said leaders are George Washington, Martin Luther King Jr., Adolph Hitler, and Alexander the Great. Despite the different areas and different views that these leaders may have had, they all had a few character traits that can be considered to be the same such as the ability to stimulate, adapt and persevere, and to stick with their primary principles. Every single one of these traits is hard to come by in a single person because they are difficult to learn but have to be instinctive and natural to a true leader. It takes a creative and determined person to be able have this characteristic because some situations may seem impossible to fix and would need an innovative way to turn it into a gain. Odyssey’s Trojan horse plan to invade the Trojans was a brilliant plan that allowed them to infiltrate their impregnable fortress without detection or loss of manpower. If a leader is without this skill they will not have the capability to guide a group of people to the future that they have planned out. He inspired thousands with his “I have a dream speech” which led to the reform of government policy on segregation.
