Grand Canyon The Grand Canyon is one of the wonders of the world. The Grand Canyon is probably the best one. This opinion is predicated on many things, but there are three main reasons I like this park: geology, wildlife, and recreational activities. These things magnetize around 5,000,000 people on average per year. There’s a reason why so many people come every year! Talking about Geology, many rocks are stored at the Grand Canyon, like Coconino Sandstone. This layer averages about 260 million years old and is composed of quartz sand, which is fundamentally sand dunes. Wedge-shaped cross bedding can be visually perceived where dunes have been composed. Due to its dark firmaments and clean air, Grand Canyon has one of the best night welkin optically discerning places to be in the United States. New astronomers from across the country volunteer their skills and offer free nightly astronomy programs and telescope viewing. There are 241 miles of road in the grand canyon open to conveyances. Withal, there is a glass platform on the north rim of the park near the visitor center. Rangers live in dorms in the park, they pay 18 dollars per week to reside there.
