Good And Bad Characters In William Golding's Lord Of The Flies

William Golding presents the idea that there is both good and bad deep within us through his book “Lord Of The FLies”. And depending on our situation and your individual personality, the bad or good in you could appear from right beneath you whether you knew it was there or not.
In the book author William Golding uses the beast a big part of the story. And the reason behind that is the beatse is an overshadow of the boys personalities that we soon see later on in the story. Simon, Ralph and Jack debates if the beats is even real. Simon states “Maybe there is a beate.” While Ralph says “But there isn’t.” And last Jack states “We'll make sure when we go hunting.” Simon is still questioning the existence of the beast while Ralph is certain that it’s not real. This shows the questions that the readers develop throughout the book like. Will the boys become evil or will they stay good. And latter on we find out that the beast is not real but it does exist somewhere else deep beyond the island. This is a common belief that people still have. One that I believed as well, but after reading “Lord of The Flies” I now believe that everyone was originally born as a good hearted person, but that could change. I learned this through some of the characters in “Lord of The Flies.” All of the boys were good in the beginning of the book, but once Jack started disagreeing with Ralphs ways some on them started siding with Jack instead of Ralph. They started to become a thirsty killing beaste who didn’t care for getting rescued anymore, exactly the way Jack thought. The situation they were all put in changed most of their personality. But not all of them changed like Piggy and Ralph. This shows that you start to become evil depending on your situation and your personality you were born
