Going Deep into Drama

Before all electronic devices were invented, people watched plays at theater for entertainment. Plays were the common things back then, and they were where drama came from. According to Merriam-Webster Encyclopedia, the word, “drama”, is from Greek, meaning to do, act. That is why drama is usually conducts on stages and in theaters. According to Meriiam-Webster, drama is defined as a serious story that is expressed as dialogues, and is presented by actors on stages and televisions. Fiction and drama both have plots. They introduce the problem, build the climax, and then solve it. Compared to fiction, drama doesn’t specifically describe the characters’ structures. Fiction helps the readers to imagine the characters’ outlooks. Drama is carried out by dialogues and actions, while fiction uses a narrative and description to lead the story. Reading fictions, readers mostly reply on their imagination. In drama, they just need to follow the actions that are played by actors on the stage. Fiction is divided into chapters, drama is divided into acts. Fiction tends to be enjoyed solitarily, people read them by themselves. Drama is played at theaters for a mass of audiences. Mentioning about drama, William Shakespeare is the father of it. He is famous for Elizabeth drama; many criticizers complement on his plays. In The Architecture of Drama : Plot, Character, Theme, Genre, and Style, the authors explain what is drama, he. In order to understand more what drama is, Much ado about Nothing, which was written by Shakespeare, is a good sample. As how a drama is supposed to be, the play contends morality and entertainment.

Their parts have little impact on the plot of the drama; their main purpose is to bring laughter to audiences. It is a break from the problem of the drama.
No matter how many years have passed, drama is still important in normal life. There are some special charms that no other genres can replace it. Much Ado about Nothing by Shakespeare is an excellent example of drama. It provides everything that a drama is supposed, but it mainly emphasizes on morality and entertainment. Shakespeare knows his audiences well, his dramas always make the audiences feel satisfied and entertained after they are over.
