“Romeo and Juliet” is a great experience that will never be forgotten! A tragic story of young lovers with innocent hearts who attempt to fight their “star-crossed” fate. There are many remakes of Shakespeare’s master piece including the movie “Gnomeo and Juliet,” which earned 196 million dollars in the box office, and therefore you could say the success of the movie is because of Shakespeare. In the book there are such events as Tybalt and Mercutio getting killed and also Romeo and Juliet ending up dead at the end of the book. These flowers were like killing someone because Sir Montague planted those flowers before he died. Another instance in the movie is that there is no potion that Juliet receives and takes to fool everyone that she is dead. This is a major factor in the plot line because if Juliet would’ve never taken the potion then Romeo, Juliet, and Paris would still be alive. Therefore the plot line is a big factor in a story and “Gnomeo and Juliet’s” plot line is very similar to the classic, but did leave our some major events to change the story to a happy and funny
