George Herman Ruth Jr. was born on February 6, 1895 in Pigtown,Baltimore M.D. He went to an all boys Catholic School at the age of 7 years. Babe owned a tavern. Before ruth began his career as a pitcher, he moved to a left-handed pitcher and a left-handed batter.

When Ruth was a teen/adult he married Helen in 1914 and they had two children Dorothy and Julia then she divorced him because he wanted more kids and she didn't.
