In 1881, Freud began researching the human mind, the first phenomenon that he had studied was nervous diseases. After reading about Breuer's treatment of hysteria by hypnosis he became very involved in psychology (1884). Therefore Sigmund Freud developed the theory of Id, Ego and Superego. Knowledge of these lets people learn how the mind may work at different ages and times during a child or even an adults life. He faced ridicule for his ideas for many years until a young group of doctors began to follow him to Vienna in 1902. Lastly this led to the creation of Viennese Psycho-Analytic Society, which later in 1910 formed into the International Psycho-Analytic Association.
Born May 6, 1856 was Sigmund Freud who developed the 3 aspects of personality, defining the way our mind works from birth and what parts were able to access. As a young child he moved from to Moravia then on to Vienna, and later on attended the University of Vienna. There he studied medicine and later on earned the respect of being a physician. Working with Jean-Martin Charcot (French neurologist) he became fascinated with the disorder of Hysteria. Throughout research Freud had determined that not all mental illness is caused from psychological reasons and that cultural differences had an impact on psychology and behavior. His work and writings have contributed to our learning and understanding of personality and how it can be broken down into 3 phases for easier comprehension. Freud developed a few different theories over his lifetime which were: Psychosexual Development, The Unconscious, Repression, Neurosis, and Transference & Trauma.

There was an organization put together after this and there were many doctors involved in it.
