In Phase 2: FAFSA, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid also known as the FAFSA. The FAFSA is used to determine your expected family contribution and your eligibility for federal student aid, which is the largest source of financial aid for students. State higher education agencies and colleges will also use the FAFSA information along with other forms to determine your eligibility for state- and school-sponsored financial aid. Step 6: FAFSA will help you with Phase 2. The typical timeline for Phase 2 ranges from November through April.

There are different types of financial aid available to students such as grants, scholarships, and loans. There are a lot of these types of financial assistant available for students to have access to. There are many websites available online that have all different types of scholarships. Some scholarships have certain requirement such as race, GPA, demographic, parent’s income, etc. Others require students to write an essay and others only require students to only apply. Grants are given to students and are money that is not required to be repaid. Most grants are federally and state funded. Loans are money borrowed and is required to be repaid and in most cases with interest.
Walter Kirn successfully unearths some of the worst aspects of senior year. However, these reasonings are not sound enough to condone the discontinuation of it. Any issues found are the fault of the student or the school administration, not the grade level itself. Senior year is worth holding on to for both the persistence of learning and for solidifying relationships. Kirn mentions with pleasure his choice to leave high school early. Under the present system, all students applying for federal aid file a form called the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In order for a student to get independent status you have to be married or over the age of twenty-four. Throughout my my life there has been one thing that has always been on my mind which is to continue on my education further than my parents. Since little I knew that I brought into this world to help others in need anyway possible. As the first person in my family to attend college I am facing many difficulties in succeeding, but I know that I am capable of doing anything I choose to put my mind on. Winning this scholarship would help me out a lot by paying for my education.
