Jake hated to admit it but he was actually a bit nervous about finally meeting his somewhat sister. When he received the text from Puck asking if he wanted to meet her he was filled with some kind of warm, exciting anxiety that was foreign to him. The thought of having another person that he could consider family was really overwhelming for him. What is she going to think of me? What if she ask questions that are hard to explain? I’m not like her other family. His mind was filling with scenarios of a moment that he shouldn’t be the slightest bit worried about. His brother was due to arrive soon so Jake checked over his things. The pizza and snacks that Puck had advised him to get were sitting on the counter and he had prepared himself for pointless discussions about 4th grade boys and . Everything seemed to be in order so at least some of his nervousness dissipated. The expected light knocking noise finally arrived. Jake took a deep breath before opening the door to make sure he wasn’t uncomfortably awkward. He was greeted by two small arms wrapping around him almost resulting in him toppling over. “Hi! So you’re my new brother?” She said excitedly. He looked up and gave Noah a thankful nod as he drove away. “Um, yeah I guess so? I wouldn’t say new but yeah. I’m Jake and you are?” He asked with a warm smile, walking the girl inside. “Hi Jake. I’m Sarah so what are we going to do today?” He walked over to the kitchen and grabbed the supplies he had gotten for the occasion. Jake sat the pizzas down and handed her a plate. “I was thinking we could eat unhealthy amounts of junk food and watch this Frozen movie. Apparently it’s a pretty big deal.” He said holding up the dvd and rolling his eyes. Sarah grabbed a slice out of the ... ... middle of paper ... ...im, gathering her things. “I think you’re pretty funny too. Of course not as funny as me but you’ll get there. He should be here soon. We can hangout again whenever you want okay?” He said hugging his little sister. He was somewhat melancholy about their time coming to an end but was hopeful that she’d want to come over again. Jake was also kind of worried that Sarah was going to go tell Puck about his emotional actions that occurred while watching the film. “Whatever. I just have to ask my parents but I’m sure they won’t care.” Sarah said hugging him back. A loud honking noise came from outside. “That’s probably him. Here let me help.” Jake said as he helped her into her jacket and handed the girl her things. He walked outside, tucking his hands into his pockets and the cold breeze reached his skin. “Bye Bye!” Sarah called as she got into the car and waved goodbye.
The sound of ice swerving in the crystal clear glass echoed through my ear. I was at the Old Susy’s place regretting the decision I took for Lennie. I drank until noon and went back to the ranch. As I entered, I noticed everyone was looking at me with deep concern in their eyes. I wasn't in the mood to talk so I went straight to my bed. I heard Candy’s footsteps inch closer to me.
“Sure. Thank you,” Mrs. Whitmore said. She waved good-bye and shut the door, then listened. When she heard only giggles, she relaxed her shoulders, and went into the kitchen to start on the cookies. When they were finished, she brought the plate up with two glasses of milk to Lucy-Lou’s room. The girls had stopped giggling, and Sarah was sitting across from Lucy-Lou on the other side of the room.
In the movie of Frozen, they show a King and Queen of a kingdom have two princesses, Ana, who was a normal girl, but Elsa, who has magic powers of ice. One day the kingdom was crowning Elsa as queen when she had a breakdown, revealed her powers to the kingdom, and ran off to be free as her sister went out to fight battles to bring her back. Throughout this movie, the archetypal they used was the journey showing that we as humans value our family more than anything, even though there could be tough battles to go through to show family
The next morning Anton would get ready for school where he would start walking down the small pathway made of pebbles, there would be a mysterious pair of students stalking behind him, Anton would not notice until one of them jumps on Anton as the motion of him being tackled. Anton and the stranger would fall to the ground, Anton would quickly take a glance as he would seem to be ready to fight back but he then notices that they were all his friends that just wanted to do a quick jump. “Marie! You scared me half to death!” Marie would giggle as she helps herself off the ground as Christoph helps Anton up as well. “Well, Anton you shouldn’t be walking in the woods without being on guard! There was a guy murdered here after all!” Anton would laugh awkwardly “Where did you hear that?” Christoph responds “It’s not true, I made that part up” They would all then let out a small chuckle after the long awkward
While pretending to investigate the case, Jake needs to stop Zeek and the judge. Her obsession, her propensity to drink, and her desire to push people away, destroys her romance with Russell, a locale veterinarian.
Jake looked around for a hiding spot as the witch’s steps came closer. He found a pantry open and went into it.
Finally, I said to her “Hey! Just go wherever you want to eat, I’ll get something small.” If someone had to said this to me, it would happily end any group deliberation over food. Instead of reacting like I would, she let out an exasperated sigh as if I had delivered bad news. At this moment I felt lost on what to do. The first thing that came to my mind, was that she may feel reluctant to decide on food due to the social expectations Zimmerman details in her piece.
The night before, I didn’t practice my English so I knew what to say. By now, I knew most of the words, so I would just let my heart guide me. Besides, my cramped old house, which is actually just a junky garage in an abandoned alley, is too small to let out my feelings. Once I got to school after a cold walk in the snow, I placed myself by her locker and waited. Fourteen minutes had gone by, and still no sign of Lily. I only had a minute to get to class now, so I hurriedly collected myself and ran to my locker. I was disappointed, knowing that without Lily here, it would be the hardest day of school. I opened my locker and to my surprise a note fell to the floor. I quickly picked it up and gazed at the neat handwriting that clearly spelled my name.
“Garcia from criminal minds.” I responded. “Oh. No one is gonna know who you are Bethany.” She said, with a humorous grin on her face. “ I don’t care. I think I look cute.” I said proudly. I walked to the bonfire after grabbed a hotdog and sat next to Finn Eckart, and A girl I had not met. She had brown hair and brown eyes, she was stick thin and sipping out of a red cup. “Hi, I’m Bethany. Have we met?” I asked. This wasn’t something I normally did. I stuck with my crowd. Which mainly was just my best friend Rebecca Pillar and I. “I’m Sadie.” She responded. “Oh, I’ve never seen you before.” I said, wondering if she would give me more information. “Yeah, I just moved here from a base in Texas.” She replied. “Oh okay. So you’re parents are in the military?” I asked. “My dad.” She responded. “Oh okay.” I said nodding. I was going to say more but suddenly a girl who looked my age ran up to Sadie. “Sadie, they’re going to play Hide N’ Seek, are you coming?” She asked. “Umm yeah.” I got up and walked with Sadie. “Brooke this is

“No, Dani!” I couldn’t believe myself, I was talking to her as if she were a dog. “You are a ‘re-tard’,” I still didn’t really knew what that meant, but using the word made me feel older. “I’m not playing with you anymore.” I tried to look like my mother when she refused to buy me more candy. Dani studied my face for a moment. “Go away!” I exclaimed. That did it. Dani cried, and I felt cold tears sliding down my cheeks too. She scurried away until I couldn’t see her anymore. The big kids were practically choking on their saliva, laughing so hard.
...ave me a bright pink gift bag stuffed with shiny silver tissue paper to open. Inside was a shirt that read “I’M A BIG SISTER!” I put the sister shirt on and saw everything differently. “Today marks an important day and you’re going to hold your brother even though you’re nervous, you’re going take responsibility and be the best caring, loving sister you can be”, I said silently to myself.
As usual I woke up to the sound of my father pounding on my bedroom door, hollering, “Get up! Get on your feet! You’re burning daylight!” I met my brother in the hallway, and we took our time making it down the stairs, still waking up from last night’s sleep. As we made our way to the kitchen, I thought about what to have for breakfast: fried eggs, pancakes, an omelet, or maybe just some cereal. I started to get hungry. As usual, mom and dad were waiting in the kitchen. Mom was ready to cook whatever we could all agree on, and dad was sitting at the table watching the news. The conversation went as usual, “Good morning.” “How are you today?”
“Hello Miss Megan, or should I say my royal highness” she said with a playful smile, promoting my fantasy. I curtseyed to her and then ran to the kitchen to grab another handful of snacks. I plopped down on the floor cradling the Cheerio box in my lap. I watched my mom and grandma share hushed conversation near the door way, followed by a lingering hug.
