Today's young generation are exposed to a variety of technologies at home or in school that their parent did not have. This exposure to digital media has a positive aspect, such as nurturing the child and allowing him to access an important source of knowledge, and developing his communication and social skills, and a negative aspect when it comes to exposure to inappropriate conduct, inappropriate content and inappropriate contact. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a culture of security for the kids at their early childhood, in order to increase their awarness of the risks that they may enounter during their exploration of the cyberspace.

Establishing a cluture of security should start from school, beacuse children are taught how to use computers, but were given little instruction on best security practices. A culture of security should make safe use of computer and respect of others an instinctive behavior.

While writing about this paper, I decided to turn my research to europe, to see how european country are establishing a culture of security through their educational curriculum. What mostly sparked my interest is a report written by the european comission that explains how education on Online Safety (OS) is included in the school curriculum in 24 countries/regions. The Online Safety is a synonym of culture of security that relate more explicitly to the use of the internet.The study goes country by country on what is thaught in the curriculum, and the effort that are put in place by the governemnt to promote online safety among the young population. Learn how to keep their email address private, and avoid phishing and spam.

In conclusion, it is important to indicate that establishing and implementing a successful culture of security require the cooperation and the involvement of everyone, parents, educator, school admistrator, governement agency and non governemental organization.
