Volunteering is helpful to many people around the world for many reasons like some people needing medical help, some needing food, some needing an education, and some needing a place to live. Volunteering should not be something that is mandatory, but it should be done because people want to help others in need. So when people volunteer they are mostly volunteering because they respect and want to help others who need help. The people who volunteer out of respect and wanting to help others are motivated to work as hard as they can. While the people who are less motivated are the people who are volunteering to help themselves instead. There are many reasons that people would volunteer to help themselves, but a few are to be able to learn a new skill, help their resume, and to be more involved. While most people volunteer out of the kindness of their heart, other people will volunteer to be able to be to learn more. Some volunteers learn by doing something they have not done yet. When they volunteered for the first time they would most likely not have known what to do. Still, other people would learn how to do something new by talking to other people who volunteer. Volunteering can help resumes by getting to try out various jobs and different organizations. Because of this people would have a wide variety of different job experiences. Since volunteers have done various jobs with different experiences they will learn different skills that will help them in the job of their choosing. Since they have various experiences and skills they will be able to find and get the job they wanted easier than they would have if they did not volunteer for a similar job (Greene). Since they volunteered and did a wide variety of jobs, more businesses would see that the volunteers are hardworking individuals that can be depended
