Explain Why I Want To Be A National Honor Society Essay

There are many reasons why I would like to be in National Honor Society. The major reason is the benefits for my future academics and career. I feel as if I can get into National Honor Society it would push many younger students to strive to their potential to try to get in. Last year I thought that I would never get into National Honor Society, so I didn’t even try and I regret that, as many students and teachers were asking me why I did not get into National Honor Society. So this year I promised myself that I would try. When I was in my younger grades I did not push myself to my full potential, it was when I was going into ninth grade that I recognized that I needed to change. At that time, I realized how important of a trait scholarship was. I began to push myself with the thought of my future in mind, and what I need to do in order to get where I want too. Throughout the years I have gained many traits such as the four required to be in National Honor Society. I feel that I possess all of these traits. Saying that every day at practice I would drive to finish the workout in order to get much better from where I started. When I began, I ran my mile in 11 minutes and 54 seconds, last year my fastest mile was 5 minutes 58 seconds. I like telling people that I weigh 190 pounds and can run a mile in six minutes. I use it as a way to try to inspire people, that they can improve whatever they want to about themselves just by putting in the time.
