Another reason I think this is they can be a distraction. If students are distracted it might hurt their grades, which might make it harder to get into the college they want. Also, they can be used to cheat. My first reason that cell phones should be banned from schools is that cell phones are not always safe. One example of this is in an emergency, the parents could all be trying to call their kids, but that will slow the phone network down. If the phone network is slowed down it will take longer to call the firemen, and the police. Another example of this is from inner experience when I look at so much different articles the safety experts say cell phones should be banned from schools. My final example is cell phones cell phones leak radiation and if cell phones leak radiation kids can get sick from being on their cell phones too long. All schools should be doing what they are doing in Elk Grove because it will help people and stop people from cheating and invading privacy. As Armstrong said, cell phones are not the answer for safety as some parents or politicians say, although they can be disruptive and can cause trouble. Cell phones can be distracting for everyone in class not only the cell phone user whether the person is texting or playing games and it can be used for cheating, texting, inappropriate web searches, and even drug deals. All schools and public places should ban mobile phones in locker rooms or where people expect to have
But this is why cell phones should be allowed in school. Public places want to band phone if the do how would you know if there was an emergency. Emergencies can happen at any second things happen all the time . Given the unquestionable results regarding the use of cell phones by students in school there should not be a ban on the cell phones in schools. This is because students can learn to enhance their learning from the technology such as the cell phone. Students will also become more independent in their work and more motivated to learn. Students like being permitted to making their own choices.

Picture this, there has been a school lockdown, the suspect cut the landlines so no one could call the police for a rescue. However, the suspect was captured by the police much faster than he imagined. The last scene wouldn’t have happened if it was one decade ago, because cell phones were not popular in schools then. When it comes to cell phones, some people think they should not be permitted in schools, and other people think they should be permitted in schools. I agree with the latter opinion for the following reasons: Cell phones are an efficient way to communicate when emergencies occur in school; cell phones can be a great tool for learning during school hours; and the current prohibitive rules on cell phones are merely fruitless efforts. Cell phones should be permitted in schools, because they could be very beneficial and practical in schools.

If they have access to their phones all day, then they will be glued to them. Phones are more entertaining than a teacher lecturing at the front of the class. Most students will start to zone out, or fall asleep, when a teacher starts a lesson.
Many schools are now making new rules or guidelines to improve the educational impact that school has on students. One of these new rules or guidelines is a ban on cell phones during school hours. This new guideline upsets many students that use cell phones because they feel that it takes away their freedom. It is a privilege, not a right, that those students even have cell phones, and they are abusing their privilege tremendously. This new guideline is a superior guideline to follow, and in the long run, students will realize how this ban affected their learning experience. Cell phones should be ultimately banned for a number of reasons.
