1. Describe major issues in child development. How might individual differences be affected by physical, cognitive, personality or social development? Individual difference would be affect by physical, cognitive, personality and social development because everyone is born in a different environment and in different family dynamics. Physical development is how the body was developed, like the brain, nervous system, etc. This can vary by how the infant developed in the womb and if they were born with birth defects. Then cognitive development is based on someone’s thinking abilities. This can be how they develop language, problem solving skills, memory and their intelligence. This can change from region to region because different countries have better educational opportunities than other countries. Next, personality development, is how someone acts, which can change by the people the child’s been around and where they grew up. Finally, social development is how a child builds relationships with others. This can vary due to, once again, who they’ve been around and where they grew up. If …show more content…

The psychodynamic perspective deals with how memories/inner forces effect an individual’s development. Then the behavioral perspective focuses more on how an individual reacts on their environment. Whereas cognitive perspective is more on how there surrounding influence the way they think about a topic. The contextual perspective is the relationship people have with their surroundings and how it influence the cognitive development, social development, etc. Finally the last perspective, evolutionary perspective, is based on how the environment cause’s someone to change their behavior due to changing environment.
