An Antic Disposition When life hands you psychologically damaged lemons, you throw those lemons on the ground until they are more damaged and make a huge mess out of the situation. The witty Shakespeare always had a way with words, he can bring out the feelings of those who thought no one could possibly understand what goes on in such a corrupt and lost mind. Just like the dashing Prince Hamlet, anyone could slip into the portrayal of a madman to get what they want. But, when the Danish Prince is stuck between "to be or not to be?" how could his feigning madness not become real? After Hamlet learns that his father was murdered by his Satyr like uncle King Claudius, he seeks matters to be taken into his own hands as he must murder his uncle as revenge for his father. The only reasonable cause to get away with murder is to seem as though he has fallen into a deep mentally insane sleep, except Hamlet finds himself caught between the difference of his two personalities, the insane Hamlet, and the Hamlet that is pure. …show more content…

Hamlet visits Ophelia while she was sewing and looked as though he had came crawling back from hell. He had a crazy look in his eyes as he grabs Ophelia by her wrist and looks at her with an awry look in his eyes then he lets her go and walks away. This was Hamlet's way of letting go of his love forever, almost as though he knew his insanity would slip and it would be their last depressing moment together. Hamlet is stuck between an I love you and I love you not stage, he uses dear Ophelia as a rag doll that he throws around to prove that he is putting on a nut show to get his uncle side tracked from Hamlet's plan and more focused on Hamlet's psychotic
