Whenever someone asks you for help and you go ahead and help that person, you spend your time and energy. Sometimes helping others may take a lot of resources such as money, but sometimes you may die while trying to help. That is how sacrifice works, you give something of your own for the good of others. Often people expect being thanked or liked for sacrificing, they may do it out of compassion or feelings of self-righteousness. However, God gave humanity an example of the greatest sacrifice, sacrifice of His own son. Surely many would agree that losing some time or money can upsetting, even your own death would not compare to the death of your child, because it feels like part of you is being ripped out, while the rest of you is left in pain. …show more content…

Mark 8:31 says "And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise agian. This shows Jesus Christ's omniscience, since He was able to predict the future, which is a characteristic of God. Jesus Christ is son of God and He is our way towards the Father. God has given us a tremendous sacrifice of His son to give people a way to wash away their sins before God's judgement. "Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6 ESV). Jesus Christ recognized that He is our salvation and that He is God. It is very important to understand this, because if Jesus Christ was not God, christians would be in trouble. All of the believers in Christ would still be dealing with sinful nature and their own sins. However, many times through the Old Testament Jesus Christ's coming into this world was propheciesed and time and time again those prophecies were proven to be true in the New Testament. Books of Isaiah and Psalm are strongly connected to gospels of John and Luke, as if the same author wrote those books with hundreds of years apart. Humanity has no power on their own to deal with this problem, even as children people lie and deliver pain. However, God has given us a way to deal with this problem. As John 14:6 says, it is through Jesus Christ only. If there was any other way, God the Father would not have to send His own Son. Unfortunately, at the time of crucifiction, not many people recognized Jesus' authority. He was scoffed and laughed at, Matthew 26 graphically describes that He was beaten, unrecognized for His holiness. However, after crucifiction, the Word of God started to spread. Jesus' death was not only a sacrifice to provide us a way towards the God, but also a catalyst of the path that God's Word is taking all over the world. As the message of Jesus started to spread to gentiles, only after His death, He was truly recognized as God amongst the nation of the earth. God's sacrifice is biggest event that is known to man and it changed the world as it is right now. It shows that believers of Christ, should just like God, try to sacrifice their time and energy to spread the message of God, to teach others and to learn how to love
