Julius Caesar once said in quote,”I love the name of honor, more than I fear death.” When referring to Caesar and Cassius, they both do not act alike in any way. Cassius has a different characteristic when compared to Caesar. The first character is Caesar. He is a very self absorbed person. He did not really care about what happened to Rome, or at least he didn’t show it very well. He used his family’s wealth to get to the position of ruling Rome. He loved the attention of his status and used it to his advantage. An example from the play is when Caesar is out on the streets and there are low class people around, Caesar acts like he was a better person and they couldn’t live up to his level. He was also a big drama queen, he enjoyed the drama, For example, long ago at their younger ages, Cassius noticed Caesar trapped in the middle of a river calling for help. He was a big bold looking young man but was not as strong as you thought. Cassius had swam to Caesar saving his life. Cassius was only a small scrawny child compared to Caesar. Now moving on into the later years getting close to Caesars crowning. Caesar had a seizure in front of the crowd at a party, shocking everyone. Cassius did not worry because he knew his disabilities long since they were children. Moving to their nobility, Cassius had more nobility than Caesar did. Caesars nobility was only known for killing Pompey like he planned on doing, yet he was never around Pompey's death. Pompey was killed in Egypt by the egyptians while Pompey was running from Caesar. The nobility of Cassius was real. Cassius and the group he had created, killed Caesar in order to keep Rome safe from all harm. So from this information, Cassius has a different characteristic when compared to Caesar. The overall comparison of these two characters is that Cassius is a very loving and caring person; however, Caesar shows that it comes off as he is a very self-conceited person and cares about his position, his wealth, and loves the drama.
