Hurricanes can be a very dangerous natural event in the world; everyone should prepare for a hurricane but sometimes people don’t know how to prepare. These are three reasons how to prepare for a hurricane; Everyone should have an evacuation plan, gather emergency supplies, and board up the house. These options are utmost importance for the person's safety and needs. Firstly, to have an evacuation plan is one of the most important things on someone’s list to prepare for a hurricane. Without an evacuation plan anyone can be in a very dangerous area. According to AccuWeather it states “ The main reason people have to evacuate during hurricanes is from a storm surge, which is an abnormal rise of water generated by a storm’s winds that can reach heights well over 20 feet and can span hundreds of miles of coastlines” (Alexia Lewis, pg 1). If someone didn’t have an evacuation plan that person could be stuck in that evacuation zone and could be in serious danger. This is why everyone should have an evacuation plan. …show more content…

If a person doesn’t have those needs like medical supplies, water, food, and etc that person could become in serious harm. According to The CDC it states “ Have at least 5 gallons of water per person (which should be enough to last 3 to 5 days), First aid kit, instructions, fire extinguisher, battery-powered radio, flashlights, extra batteries, sleeping bags, and put together a 3 to 5 day supply of food that doesn’t go bad (like canned food).
