C. Quality Service Standards In order to have quality service standards practiced inside a restaurant, an organization needs to make sure that the standards are clear to all employees. The best way to certify that employees will remember and follow these standards is to have an employee handbook that dictates standards and how to follow them. This could be because of a lack of communication or a situation that was just overlooked by employees at the time. In order for a restaurant to run smoothly, standards need to be followed in the same manner during each upcoming circumstance. Although only for a few instances, it seemed that there was a staff member or two that did not fully grasp all of the procedural standards at Eureka!. D. Jobs and Hiring A crucial component of any restaurant is the hiring procedure. The goal of having a well put together hiring program is to ensure that only the most energetic and qualified applicants get hired. There is much time and effort put into finding the correct people to work for your business. At Eureka! Burger, there is an established hiring process. Burger has proven themselves to have a very successful hiring process. They offer a variety of jobs from bing a team member or manager, as well as positions in marketing, accounting, human resources, training, and recruiting. From our observations, we noticed that all of the employees have an energetic attitude. Eureka!’s strength lies in their multitude of opportunities that they give to their employees. Due to the variety of jobs offered, applicants can come from many different backgrounds as long as they have passion and expertise. Weakness 1 One weakness that Eureka! presented was that many of their employees were around the same age. All of the servers seemed to be in their twenties. This may be due to the location of this restaurant, however it was interesting to see a restaurant with so many employees all be around the same age. However, the online advertisement for jobs, could also be a reason for this matter. Job opening are prominently displayed on Eureka’s website and will attract the younger generation to apply for a position. E.
