There were many causes and effects for the Europeans to come to America. Some causes were the English Reformation, new materials, new routes to Asia, and to escape from England. The Effects were disease, religions dying off, lack of food, and health problems. The effects weren’t all bad, though. There were some good effects, like the introduction to horse riding, new tools, and new land.

In the 1400’s to the 1500’s, the Europeans left their home, Europe, and decided to come to a new land called America. The Europeans didn’t come to America because they felt like it. There were specific causes for them coming. The English Reformation was a big part of it. King Henry,VIII, wanted to get divorced, but couldn’t because he was Catholic. So he joined the Protestant Church and got divorced. Then, he married Anne Boleyn, who was a Protestant, but then he had her beheaded. After that, he married Jane Seymour, who was Catholic, and she died. She had a child …show more content…

One of the effects was disease. When the Europeans got to America, they had a bunch of diseases with them from the journey there. Some of these diseases were typhus and measles. This led to the diseases spreading and killing a lot of Native Americans. But it didn’t only kill the Natives. The people who carried the diseases died, too. Then, a lot of the people died and religions died off. Lack of food was an effect. They ran out of food on the ship and were reduced to eating rats and the cats that they used to catch the rats. And their water was infested with microscopic creatures. They also had poor health when they reached America. Therefore, a lot of the Europeans died before they even made it to the Americas.

Not all of the effects were bad, though. The Native Americans were introduced to horse riding when the Europeans came. The Europeans gave the Native Americans new tools. The Europeans discovered new land. So, not all of the effects were
