The discovery of the New World greatly affected both Native American and European civilizations. The development of trade and increasing knowledge about concepts like agriculture impacted the exchange. Additionally, many positive outcomes resulted because of the new settlements in the New World. On the contrary, it comes into view that not everyone profited and some major occurrences arose. The relationship between the New World and Europe certainly produced significant advantages and unpleasant disadvantages. As Europeans were introduced to a variety of products in the western hemisphere, they then brought them back over to Europe. This continuous process aided in the spread of changing culture back in the Eastern hemisphere. Products for example, crops, were valuable in trading. Imports and exports of crops like corn and potatoes were very helpful. Livestock such as horses and pigs served as travel and food. The beginning of their growth in the New World was to be used as an advantage later on. No only did the positive come along, but so did the negative events that followed. The tragic events mostly took a toll on Native American lives. It was strange enough that these men (Europeans) came over to their land but also these men purposely killed them and forced them to work. Additionally, the Europeans brought deadly disease and killed those whose bodies could not fight. However civilization progressed and the exchange between the Old and New World, helped humans become aware of new land to explore. People continue to discover new parts of the world and share what can be of use to everyone in a way that is similar to what happened centuries
