In everyday life people of all backgrounds make decisions that can be both wrong or right. Many of these are ethical decisions that one makes believing it is the right thing to do. Only the people around can tell them if it is correct or not. A great example is the movie Iron Man. The main protagonist, Tony Stark makes several ethical decisions; some wrong and some right. One ethical decision is when Tony Stark decided to stop creating weapons because he was a reason those weapons were being used by terrorists, harming many people. This decision impacts the whole story by creating tension between the antagonist and Tony Stark. The antagonist doesn’t agree with his decision and betrays him, making the choice very important to the story line. …show more content…

If he didn’t care about how people would view him as a superhero and didn’t secretly strive for approval form people he would have made the opposite choice. A person that makes choices based on actualism would make a different decision. An actualism follower will only make choices based on which will create the least consequents.2 With the idea that they can only lie if in the end it will create less consequents, an actualism follower wouldn’t tell people they were the super hero keeping everyone safe and less of a possibility that people will use them to harm you. By Tony telling the world that he is Iron man not only does he put himself in danger but also the people he has closet to him. So, his decision to not lie about his identity creates more consequents and can lead to his down fall. This idea is then proven in the film Iron Man 3. Every one of Tony’s decisions have an impact in the movie. He seems to make both bad and good choices. In his head though he believes they are the right choices.
