The book that I choose to read for the second quarter was The Mouse Rap. This book was written by Walter Dean Myers which was published in the year of 1990. The genre of The Mouse Rap is general fiction. I could not find a sub-genre, for this book. There are five main characters in this book and they are Mouse, Styx, Omega, Sheri, and also there is Beverly. Mouse is the main character in the story he is a guy that likes to play basketball, listen to music, and hang out with all of his friends. Styx is Mouse's best friend and he is a guy that also likes to play basketball, listen to music, and hang out with all of his friends just like mouse that's why they get along. Then there is Omega he is another friend of Mouse he likes to do the same things as Mouse and that Styx does, but he also likes to dance which he is good at it. Sheri, is just a girl that likes to hang out with her friends and also likes to dance just like Omega. Beverly likes to do the same things that Sheri likes to do.
