Another popular conspiracy theory contains the Illuminati society. The Order of the Illuminati was an Enlightenment-age secret society founded by university professor Adam Weishaupt on May 1, 1776, in Upper Bavaria, Germany. The movement consisted of advocates of freethought, secularism, liberalism, republicanism, and gender equality. In 1785, the order was infiltrated, broken up and suppressed by the government agents of Charles Theodore, However, there is no evidence that the Bavarian Illuminati survived its suppression in 1785 (“History of Beliefs”, 2006).
Ewoh (2009) explained that in the late 18th century, conspiracy theorists began speculating that the Illuminati had survived their suppression and become the masterminds behind the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror. The Illuminati was accused of being subversives who were attempting to secretly orchestrate a revolutionary wave in Europe and the rest of the world in order to spread the most radical ideas and movements of the Enlightenment. Then in the 19th century, fear of an Illuminati conspiracy was a real concern for European ruling classes and their oppressive reactions to the very revolutions they wanted to prevent. (p. 6)

Answers that come simply are seen as sketchy or people feel that they may be missing information. People will communicate their ideas to gain followers and supporter, such as ISIS. As they gain followers, they will continue to challenge the supposed truth until either they find the answer they believe is missing; or until they are proved wrong. When President Trump released some of the JFK files, he continued to hide many of the files from the American people. After doing so, many Americans are making assumptions of what could be on those files due to no exact answer. Americans want the truth, but sometimes it is too much for them to comprehend and
Having just done a research on the origins of witchcraft and the consequences of dabbling in it, I was naturally interested in the cover of My Journey after Death, by Alice Adamek. It had the characteristic Triangle and Eye of the Illuminati, an outlawed, secret society founded in 1776, with tentacles into the Occult in modern times. What could she have encountered on the ‘other side’ if she were associated with this group, I wondered. I was surprised, nay startled, to note references to Jesus. This was even more intriguing…but not for long.
The Templar Knights, one of the most well-known orders of all times. Created to protect the Holy Land, the Templars “the army of God” would serve and die under God. They were fierce warriors who proved themself time and time again. They have truly set forth some of the most famous conspiracy theories in history. The Knights Templars would truly live up to be one of the most honored and well-known orders in history.
When people talk about the Illuminati, they are talking about the most secretive, powerful, wealthiest, influential, sneakiest, manipulated, greediest people on the earth. It was a group formed in Germany 1776 in order to rule the world with their wealth and power (“Illuminati” 1). Recently it has been on everyone’s mind, but why? It is being exposed more and more every day. They are trying to take over our nation. “The infamous Illuminati secret society has remained the focus of so-called ‘conspiracy theorists’ for hundreds of years. They have been called the puppet masters who secretly pull the strings of the world’s events from elections to revolutions, and from business monopolies to stock market crashes” (Dice 1). People are completely oblivious of the Illuminati or chose to not believe this is going on behind closed doors. However, there are some people who do believe and are aware of what they are capable of. The Illuminati is harmfully corrupting our nation through the government, specialty groups, and celebrities.
In the 1920s, Prohibition caused organized crime to be at an all time high, and so gangsters were at their prime, dealing in bootlegging and the illegal distillation and distribution of alcohol. The big gangsters and their crimes had a big impact on the society and the economy of the 1920s.
“It is well known that there exist a conspiracy to dominate this world and this is commonly attributed to a group called the Illuminati” Jack Zavada reveals in his article, “What is the Illuminati Conspiracy”(2). The Illuminati is a group of individuals who work together in devious ways to manipulate and control the entire world in hopes of eliminating all religions, one day making all man submissive. The Illuminati is a Latin word meaning enlightened ones (“Whitney’s…” 1). The true meaning of Illuminat is people claiming to possess special enlightenment or knowledge of something. Members of this elite club believe that they are doing some miraculous work and see themselves as better than the rest of the world. Calling themselves the Illuminati demonstrates their strong need for power and control, it is for this reason, the name Illuminati was chosen by this megalomaniacal group of individuals. The Bavarian Illuminati was founded in 1776 by Adam Weishaupt, who enlisted members to help him fight the supposed false teachings and religion and instead favor the scientific pursuits (Zavada 2). Adam Weishaupt was a realist, and during his time period, society focused mainly on religion and a governed set of rules. Joe Martino, a renowned author from Stanford, reveals, “Professors in Bavaria were the first to challenge the bible and were dubbed the Illuminati (3). People were not to question the church and science was not really justified much. Moreover, if a professor went against what was taught by the Church, they were thrown in jail unless they repealed their information, thus, the Illuminati was first created to fight the Church for their inappropriate teachings and to bring about change, and it beg...
The American Revolution saw the rise of the American spy, and the father of these spies was George Washington, commander in Chief of the Continental Army. The siege of New York demonstrated the importance and dire need for intelligence to General Washington. Unfortunately, the difficulty, at least initially, lies with finding people willing and able to serve in this manner. Upon recognizing the necessity for a network of subterfuge, Washington created the Culper spy ring. Housed in New York City under the command of Colonel Benjamin Tallmadge, its purpose was more than merely gaining intelligence.
The Enlightenment was the period lasting from the mid-seventeenth century and throughout the eighteenth century in which, thought and culture led to brilliant revolutions in science, society, politics, and philosophy. People living in this time often referred to it as the “Age of Reason”. During this time a contemporary western culture developed and was a precursor to the beginning of our ever-expanding technological and political world. This era brought representative government, an aura of freedom, and belief that people could better human existence. The Enlightenment idea was partially taken from John Locke’s “Essay Concerning Human Understanding”.
For generations and throughout the United States history one conspiracy kept plausible. The question whether or not the Illuminati is present in our world today. They are the top players in the world professional playground, which include 13 bloodlines which are extremely rich, and they are the individuals who want to control the world from behind the scenes. Besides the 13 Bloodline, there is also hundreds of other men, with a few exceptions of women, that are also very influential and wealthy that have joined this secret cult. The Illuminati is a well-structured organization and contains people only in the highest standings which practically puts them above the law.
As the Reign of Terror in France grew and invoked fear the internal threats became more radical and deadly. The French Revolution began in 1789 as an attempt to create a new and fair government. (Doc A) As year four of freedom lurched the thirst for power in Maximilien Robespierre stirred and the hunger for more blood provoked him urging him to create the Reign of Terror. 1793, the first year of the Reign of Terror, Robespierre grasped on to his new power and as the revolution spun out of control the Jacobins Club established a new way to “fight enemies” by constructing a Committee of Public Safety and a Tribunal Court. (Doc A) This new government was working swell it contained counterrevolutionaries in the Vendée Region, and it smothered and ferreted the internal threats. (Docs A, C, G) The counterrevolutionaries adopted a name that meant trouble – the rabble. (Doc D) In a letter written by a city official of the Town of Niort a...
The New World Order conspiracy about New World Order is that a secretive power elite with a globalist agenda is conspiring to eventually rule the world through an authoritarian world government. The Illuminati themselves have a website, and they address the many conspiracies they are associated with and they assure the public that they are not what you think they are. The Illuminati has been viewed as a negative organization due to all the conspiracies and such. Through their website they ‘wish to provide insight into their goals and operations’.
The Illuminati existed as an 18th century Bavarian society that aimed to destroy monarch and world political power and replace it with their own. Today, the Illuminati may or may not exist with the same objectives of the past or modern day functions involving power and money. The main function of the Illuminati was supposedly to guide people to happiness by influencing them to be good, illuminating someone’s mind to free it from prejudice and superstition. But that was just the alleged meaning, apparently the real purpose was the over throw the government and gain political power to change the government. Influenced by the Society of Jesus, John Adams Weishaupt founded the Bavarian Illuminati in 1776.
“Dark side” leadership can cause significant harm to the organization and its members, yet individuals with these tendencies still reach positions of power since dark side characteristics are hard to detect and easy to overlook. Dark side characteristics is describe as undesirable characteristics that affect the relationship between supervisors and followers and his or her success at creating a cohesive team (Hogan, Curphy & Hogan, 1994). They can include characteristics such as narcissism, Machiavellianism and psychopathy (Harms, Spain & Hannah, 2011), moderate and functional versions of personality disorders (Hogan & Hogan, 2001) or more exaggerated form of bright side traits (Kaiser, LeBreton, & Hogan, 2015). However, these features are
The 18th century was filled with Enlightenment philosophers, scientists, and mathematicians, each contributing to the way our world thinks today. The Enlightenment prompted society to part from the ancient views of superstition and traditionalism, and transition to basing findings and concept on reason and logic. Each of the brilliant minds contributed to the worldly movement, their purpose was to reform society by challenging ideas that were grounded firmly in faith, emphasize reason and intelligence, and to advance knowledge through science and the arts. This stirred debate and completely reshaped our world’s perception of the universe, it questioned the existence of our world and what we were meant to evolve to. This mass circulation of thought would significantly affect historical events to come, such as the American and French Revolution, whose bases for government was influenced by thinkers such as Montesquieu, and his idea about the balance of power between the three branches of government, as well as Rousseau’s idea about the power of democracy and the consent of the people. Three such Enlightenment philosophes were John Locke, Rene Descartes, and Jean-Jacque Rousseau. Each of these men generally agreed that most human failure and suffering was a result of mindlessly following tradition and superstition that was fed to them by leaders of the church and state. They believed that humankind could improve itself greatly, and that Enlightenment values of reason and humanity could achieve it. The first step was to free thinking itself-to escape the darkness of the past to the light of reason.
Some believed that the high ranking members of the illuminati continued in secrecy, but there is no hard evidence proving that, until now. Today the illuminati has a well-known reputation, unofficial reputation. Many people believe the illuminati has complete power over the world, making illusive decisions, and orders from the shadows, controlling the minds of the masses with programming and hidden symbolism. There seems to be an undoubtedly outside influence in the government’s decision making, the coverage of media, and the countless forms of entertainment being showed on consumer’s televisions. But it is not an evil, enlightened, secret society that originated in the 1700’s, the ones who actually pull the strings in society are the hugely wealthy bank, and corporation owners.
True: Rational thinking was heavily promoted and such thinking was the foundation of the Age of Enlightenment.
