One of the most influential and important aspects in our life is our family, our family shapes us as we mature, Our family helps us get through tough situations with their love and empathy and should also increase our mood positively as we are surrounded by people we love. So why would we want to blame them for our problems or make them feel like they aren't loved, with constant insulting behavior and judgment for their own choices? Hamlet treats Gertrude and Ophelia very poorly and tends to get verbally abusive with them multiple times, Hamlet has little respect for women and blames them for his problems. After Hamlet’s Father had died Gertrude had married king hamlet's brother claudius. This is where Hamlet’s anger derived from, all of Hamlet's anger and hatred started from his mother marrying his uncle, it made hamlet far more angry that Gertrude’s period of mourning was so quick over the death of king hamlet before moving on to marrying his brother. As most wives would be heartbroken over the death of their husband, Gertrude was quick to remarry This is when Hamlet said “ O God, a beast that wants discourse of reason would have mourn’d longer” (I.II.150) Hamlet Believes an animal would mourn longer than his mother did. Although Hamlet had not said this directly to his mother it still shows a deep disrespect for Gertrude because she had married another man. Later on in the play Hamlet gets more spiteful towards Gertrude saying Hurtful things to purposefully lacerate her tender feelings, and trying to make her feel ashamed of her choosing to marry Claudius, Hamlet tells his mother that she is sleeping with the killer of her husband. “But you live in the rank sweat of an enseamed bed, stewed in corruption and making love over that nasty sty” (III.IV.90) Hamlet tries to hurt Gertrude even when his father's ghost tells him not to, Hamlet has trouble letting go of his mother's marriage, and can not seem to be rational over the situation.
