Europeans during the 1500s and 1600s faced domestic issues while also expanding their control overseas. Politically, in the 1400's parts of Europe had a feudalistic government and feudal monarchies but overtime Europe adapted to absolute monarchies, parliamentary monarchies, and nation-states.
