Meaning of Entrepreneurship
According to John Kaso and Howard Stavenson, “Entrepreneurship is the process that involves all actions an entrepreneur undertakes to establish an enterprise to give reality to his business ideas. It is the attempt to create value through recognition of business opportunity, the management of risk-taking appropriate to the opportunity and through the communicative and management skills to mobilise human, financial and material resources necessary to bring a project to fruition.”
According to Higgins, “Entrepreneurship means the function of seeking investment and production opportunity, organising an enterprise to undertake a new production process, raising capital, hiring labour, arranging the supply of raw materials, finding site, introducing a new technique, discovering new sources of raw materials and selecting top managers for day-to-day operations of the enterprise.”
Meaning of Entrepreneur
According to Dr. T. N. Chhabra, “Entrepreneur is the co-ordinator and organiser of resources to design a business enterprise. Entrepreneurs are innovators who use the process of shattering the status quo of the existing products and services to set new products, new services. Entrepreneur introduces new ideas, carries on new activities, co-ordinates the factors of production and decides how the business should be run. He has vision, originality of thought and ability to take risks.”

Such situation also came in the life of Murthy for example lack of capital, unfavourable business environment, a family to support and many others. But success depends how a person handles the blocks. Murthy got the success because he never afraid from these blocks and he always worked to win.
So, as per my opinion, if a person having a vision, mission and positive attitude and the most important part support from the family side, he can create a successful new venture.

You might have heard about many personalities and their success stories or about their struggling life, but the personality which I am going to talk about in later para is far away from them. What I mean is that the person is totally different from them and he marked a spot among the existing business tycoons and left a question behind them that whether a guy who is just 17 years of age can climb the stairs of success so quickly or not. Well, he is at the zenith of his career and he thought of expanding his business which he previously thought not to abjure at the mid way if any pitfall comes in between. You are getting baffled whom I am talking about, right. Well, he is none other than the founder of OYO
There has been a large amount of attention paid to the subject of entrepreneurship in the last few years; mainly because most people have chosen to go from working for somebody else, to be their own bosses and work for their dreams. Nevertheless, many still wonder what is entrepreneurship and what is that sets entrepreneurs apart from other regular business owners. At first, it seems both concepts do not differ much from each other since they both start up and run businesses and assume risks to pursue opportunities; however, there are certain traits that difference them.
"Entrepreneurs who start and build new businesses are more celebrated than studied. They embody, in the popular imagination and in the eyes of some scholars, the virtues of "boldness, ingenuity, leadership, persistence and determination." Policymakers see them as a crucial source of employment and productivity growth. Yet our systematic knowledge of how entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses is limited. The activity does not occupy a prominent place in the study of business and economics.
Like I said, I grew up in a family of successful entrepreneurs. I grew up always wanted to be like my father. I felt as if I had a knack for business and here I am today.

Entrepreneurships can be two ways whether it is by individual intention or entrepreneur taking by family firm. The success of a business is greatly dependent on its entrepreneur. An entrepreneur is someone who takes the financial risk of starting and managing a new business venture. In order to be a successful entrepreneur, one must be ready to take a risk and invest one’s own savings into a business. The job requires that the individual be ambitious and committed to working hard in order to achieve the set targets. A successful entrepreneur is able to multi-task and communicates effectively with people, possessing leadership qualities such as confidence and motivation. The individual must play the role of constant motivator and inspire employees to improve their work performance, whilst ensuring a comfortable environment for the employees to work in. According to Schumpeter (1982), an entrepreneur is more of a ‘heroic’ than an ‘economic’ figure; his motivation should not solely be monetary, rather stemming more from inspiration and ambition.
Many people dream of becoming entrepreneurs someday. But it made me realize that there other factors that needs to be taken into consideration. We need to ask ourselves are we ready to take the challenge to the outside world. Not everyone have the vision, innovation and creativity to become an entrepreneur. The individual must have a positive attitude and accept the responsibility, have discipline to meet their goals, and take action when the opportunity presents itself. Many prefer a job security and rely on a weekly paycheck, while entrepreneurs will take risks and doesn 't have that luxury to know the amount of their income.
Entrepreneurship is a key driver of our economy, wealth and the majority of jobs are created through entrepreneurship, and it also helps and educates people in terms of growth and realizing opportunities (Nolan, 2003). Entrepreneurship is also seen as one of the important contributing factor to local development (Nolan, 2003).
Most successful entrepreneurs are have a passion for their product or service as well as a desire to solve a problem and make life easier, better, cheaper (10 Qualities of successful entrepreneurs, 2010). Their desire to be an entrepreneur is mostly due to in internal factor rather than an external such as money.
The path to achieving great success is not easy. Whereas there are many shortcuts, the long and patient walk is what takes a person many miles ahead. This concept applies to any individual who aims at becoming a successful businessman. The process of becoming a successful businessman requires a person to attain several accomplishment levels. Each of the level takes energy and time, as well as the ability to recognize the things that make a person truly successful in the business world and life. Becoming a successful businessman requires measurements that take into account not only the monetary and material gains but also the greater scheme of things. Therefore, true success measure achieves in light of creating wealth and value. These factors are vital in the lifetime of success as they present an intangible worth and measurable profit. This essay discusses the way a person can become successful as a businessman.
An entrepreneur is a person who organizes and manages a business undertaking, assuming the risk for the sake of profit. According to Martin (2010) an entrepreneur sees an opportunity which others do not fully recognize, to meet an unsatisfied demand or to radically improve the performance of an existing business. To have self-belief that this opportunity can be made real through hard work, commitment and the adaptability to learn the lessons of the market along the way. For example, When an almost bankrupt security company was offered to her, Datuk Maznah Hamid and her husband, who were eager to change their ordinary life, took the plunge and sacrificed RM5,000 of their saving. Only then she realized that apart from managing the operation, she also had to be a manager, a clerk, an accountant and a receptionist. To grow their business, they had to sell their house and moved to a slum that came without electricity. But she persevered. Today, it’s difficult to find someone who has never heard of Securiforce.
Studies have found that there is a deep link between Entrepreneurship and Need of Achievement. According to Begley and Boyd (1987), those who have founded their own companies had a higher need for achievement than non-founders or owner managers. Also, (Stewart et al., 1998) responded that need for achievement is higher in entrepreneurs than the corporate manager and owner managers. Need for Achievement is usually high in entrepreneurs than the general population. It provides them with motivation to go ahead and achieve their next target easily. Entrepreneurs showing this tendency usually are good planners, sets their goals, always look for information and learning (Miner, 2000). They accept success and failure of their work and this need of achievement help them to overcome failure, obstacles and setbacks.
