At the beginning of the play, Macbeth is trusted and dearly respected by many but he became a victim of choice by deciding to gain the throne with envy and ambition, which lead him to his death. After the death of his fellow friend Banquo, Macbeth demurs the witches prophesies about Banquo being a father of kings. Macbeth then manipulates the witches to confirm if Banquo's son will gain the throne. Macbeth with deep desire claims, “I insist! Deny this to me , and may you be cursed eternally! let me know!” (IV, i, 104-105). After Macbeth sees the vision of the eight kings and the last carrying a mirror with similar faces.
