Introduction
Expanded food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) (Chatham County Extension) located in Savannah, Ga was my choice of practicum site because of my interest in healthy eating habit and my passion to reach the low income populations. EFNEP teaches healthy habits that fit citizen’s budget. Families learn about healthier food choices, about stretching their food budget, and about reducing the risk of foodborne illness. The program is offered to low-income Georgians, free of charge. It is federal funded program. The mission is to improve health behavior of low income Americans. Their target is to reach low income parents and other adult caregivers who are responsible for obtaining and preparing food for children, low income pregnant women or teen.

The lessons were called Food Talk. Food talk is about 1 ½ hours better food budget and to cultivate healthy eating habit. Food demo is always done after each session, the food demo enables the client to try the food, which are healthy and affordable. The clients were given extenders; after each session, the extenders serves as tools to help put lesson learned into practice.
Session 1; Your Food Your Choice; this is the introductory session, clients were enrolled in the classes. They were given calendar to make a list of the food eaten in the last 24hours, they discuss about their meal, why they chose it. Alternative food choices would be suggested to the clients, then the food demo.
Session 2; keep Your Pressure in Check; this session discussed how families can plan ahead for their meal to reduce stress. It discuss how planning can make a difference in stress reduction.
