According to Freire, the education system is a “Banking concept” where the teachers are depositors and the students are depositories. (Bartholomae, p. 244). I agree with Freire at this point about the education system because it gives me a glimpse of the education system that I had gone through. Here I am talking about the education system in Nepal. I graduated high school in Nepal. Briefing the education system in Nepal, a student has to spend two years in high school in order to get a degree.
The education system there in Nepal is totally different; in the physical aspect i.e. infrastructures, in comparison to American. Classroom here in The United States are well equipped with technologies. Students gets a chance to learn from different sources rather than depending on teacher as a whole. On the other hand, the students there in Nepal are totally dependent on the teachers and textbooks. They rote whatever their teacher has said without knowing a single fact what the teacher is talking about.

Though not so far apart on the map, the education system in Haiti and the educational system in the United states are extremely opposite when it comes to organization, technology, and finance.
The schooling system has become an accepted part of young education in America. Although this system creates a standard system without much deviation, it still provides children with many opportunities to develop their passions. Many people feel constricted by this set education, however, this education is the key to success later in life. The skills learned not only academically, but how to behave in a scheduled environment, guide children to behave correctly throughout their lives. The schooling system uses ideas of conformity to make children value the idea of working together while still gaining an abundance of knowledge.
Every school I attended was ephemeral to me since I was changing so often. When I was younger and living in Monterrey I went to a private school during kindergarten, suddenly we moved houses (still in Monterrey) and we had to change to another private school closer to our new house. Later on, during my 4th grade year in school, I was getting many questions from my peers asking me if I was gay or not and even though I wasn’t being bullied it bothered me because I wasn’t ready to answer that question so I asked my mother to change me to another school. After I begged, she moved me to another school for my 5th grade year, but I was only there for that year because the following year I would be moving to Laredo, TX. At the age of 10 I had already been through 4 schools which I believe taught me how to be social and how to make friends quickly. Changing schools also made me realize that friends aren’t always forever and sometimes you need to let them
Over the past four years, we have grown from insecure, immature freshmen to successful, focused and confident young adults. This incredible transformation has been the result of our entire high school experience. Everything from that first homecoming game, to late night cramming, to the last dance at prom. These experiences have pulled us together as a class and we have learned to love and respect our fellow classmates.
The education system has been a controversial issue among educators. Requirements of school do not let student choose what they want to study for their future. It’s a big issue to force student study specific curriculums, which don’t help them improve, and what they like to create something. Educators choose a general system for education to all students which based on general knowledge. Intelligent or genius students have to be in that system of education, which doesn’t let them improve their creativity. Educators attempt to change that system to make it better, but their changing was not that great to be an example for the world. Also, did that change qualify education system to compete other systems or not? In some examples and reasons have been made me agree with some of points from Gatto’s and Edmunson’s and disagree them.
Being in a little community and little school, 150 in the graduating class, made it nice that there was constantly a lot of school spirit and the community was constantly included in everything the school had been going on such as; any games for any kind of sports, any fundraisers or any volunteer work that needed to be done. All the students and teachers were greatly welcoming; it wasn’t highly diverse at all. If I had graduated from there, there would have been only four African Americans in my graduating class. From experience and in my opinion, racism is a big cause of violence and causes more drugs; this school didn’t have any violence and very little drug use from what I saw of students. Everyone knowing everyone made it easier for everyone to get along, there was never much drama, even being a girl.
The educational system differs throughout the world; its viewed and taught differently because of cultural differences. Many cultures view education as a necessity of life therefore family are strict and get more involved in there child’s education. Around the world, education is given to students to prepare them for their future. The American education is considered one of the strongest systems of education therefore many countries the American system. The American education system contains many differences and similarities to the foreign system of education; however, students in the American system are not as successful as those in foreign countries like Japan.
Where teachers teaching methods were kind of silly, making us copy whatever they wrote on the chalkboard and rewrite it over and over. Our homework was pretty much the same deal, after all it was only elementary school. Lunch at our school was an adventure, there was a river behind our school so we would go out there and look for fruit trees. We would eat mangos or whatever fruit we could find and some boys will even go swimming. So arriving to a place that had everything that I needed at my fingertips and lunch served in an air conditioned room; not understanding anyone or anything made it a very terrifying experience in many
Education is a vital part of society. It serves the beneficial purpose of educating our children and getting them ready to be productive adults in today's society. But, the social institution of education is not without its problems. Continual efforts to modify and improve the system need to be made, if we are to reap the highest benefits that education has to offer to our children and our society as a whole.
An education system was developed in order for every child to be able to know basic skill sets before having to be on their own. This is a way to partially guarantee that the general populace of a society is educated on all the same basic functions.
