In the Chronicles of Narnia, by C. S. Lewis, Prince Caspian once said "Day by day, nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different." Looking back at the past four years, I find this statement to hold especially true. After flipping through my high school yearbooks, I recall the memories of the time spent at Berks Catholic. For me, high school has been a roller coaster of experiences, good and bad. From trying questionable school lunches and struggling to remember what day number it is, to discovering lifelong friends and daydreaming in class, high school at Berks Catholic was a time to remember in more ways than one. In addition to the prestige that the Eagle rank holds, this was one of my biggest achievements because of the time and effort invested. Through perseverance, I joined the elite four percent of scouts who earn their Eagle rank. My Eagle Scout court of honor was a celebration to remember. After years of hard work, I acknowledged my accomplishment with my family and friends who supported me throughout my scouting experience. There were many honored and distinguished guests, but the person that stood out to me was our State Governor, Tom Wolfe. He congratulated me on my commitment to scouting, and wished me luck in my future endeavors. Another accomplishment that stood out to me was the founding and development of my Berks County Chemistry Outreach Club. Recruiting and managing my club members during freshman year was especially challenging. I remember struggling to create short and simple lesson plans, while keeping the students engaged and active. I recall students having difficulties with the concepts and theories. To help them review the material, I posted the meeting summaries on my website.
