Introduction

My name is Todd McBride and I have been promoted to become your district manager. This has been a goal of mine since I have been employed at Dunkin Donuts. I am honored to become the district manager. I will follow the Dunkin Donuts Brands’ core values, which include honesty, fairness, responsibility, transparency, respect, integrity, and humility. (Dunkin Donuts, 2017) I have planned my approach as district manager and I would love to share insight and knowledge. Recruiting the perfect candidate will take consideration from current higher supervisors and leaders. To become a successful business, you must train your employees and to make sure you keep ongoing training available. Training is the most important keys to success. In order to keep morale up, you must motivate your employee’s by giving recognition for their hard work and dedication. The selected applicants will start off by attending the training orientation. They will learn more about the history of Dunkin’ Donuts, the position they were selected for, and what career advancements are available. Orientation will include various training tools, safety rules, and customer service satisfaction. This will make employees that they are part of a family and a team at Dunkin Donuts. After the orientation process, the employees will fill out all the necessary paper work to begin their career at Dunkin Donuts. Most of the training will be in person, while some will be online. To keep up the moral of the store, I will reward each employee with performance rewards and appraisals from their managers. After every 6 months, there will be a midterm that shows how well the employee is performing and what the employee needs to improve on. The following 6 months, the employees will be evaluated to see if they have improved from the first 6 months. This is not a way to scare employees, but a way to make them improve.
