In the short 15 years that I’ve been alive on this earth I’ve surprisingly gone through many internal and external changes. The reason for such changes are because of my surroundings, my age, and the people around me. All these changes have all served a purpose to educate and propel me into a more grown up mindset by opening my mind to see what's beyond my surroundings.
Probably the most dramatic of my changes is where I live. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and now resides in Aldie, Virginia. The reason why I call this a dramatic change is because of how much I moved to finally be here in Virginia. The reason why I moved so much

In regards to my physical appearance, facial features wise, I don’t think i’ve gone through a significant change but my hair has. My hair is naturally curly, but got it straightened early on but that really isn’t the most dramatic change. The most dramatic change was when I was 5 my “friend” wanted to play barber shop and you can imagine how that went. My hair went from being down to my waist to being up to my ears. Of course now my hair is growing back like it's supposed to but being little I was very attached to my hair and took it hard but, I was reminded that it would grow back and everything would be just fine. My music taste hasn’t really gone through that much of a change, I mean, sure instead of just being limited to what's on the radio i’ve gone and looked and explored different genres of music but except for a few artists that I listen to my music taste is pretty mainstream and popular …show more content…
When your little characters and cartoons and popular tv shows may influence some of your clothing opinions, but for the most part your parents decide what you wear, and in my case, that's my mother who would select my clothing options according to her taste, but as i got older I started having more and more input on what I was to wear. Sure I could start having more and more input on what I wore, but I went to a lot of schools that had uniforms so I didn’t really feel the need to explore different styles until the 7th grade, which I like to conclude as the “experimental” time in life where I was finding out what I like and don’t like. Thanks to this experimental time i have arrived on my current fashion taste that are by no means stable because of influences on social media always changing my opinion but nonetheless I am comfortable with my taste in fashion as of
Change 4 Life is a campaign that is set up to promote health and it also helps a range of individuals change their lifestyles by:
A personal change I would like to make is my approach and the response I display to my teammates and the organization. I am a very independent person at work, I tend to be a controlling person in every aspect. However, I am trying to overcome this debilitating trait by learning new techniques and reflecting on the other person’s ideas, comments, efforts and suggestions without taking control. I do complete my task with little or no assistance, but it causes me to be detached, indifferent, and uninvolved from my teammates causing conflicting issues. I do sense a distance between myself and my teammates, but I continue to work hard and remain focus.
Change is a word that I have constantly heard throughout my high school years. It is a transformation through which everyone goes whether it's for the better or for the worse. For me the meaning and value of change has helped me to focus on the goals I have to accomplish. For others, it is simply just a phase we go through. All of us here have been able to learn and develop from our changes to be come a better and successful person.
When you are born people are there to take care of you, love you, and guide you through life. As you grow up and life changes, you must take charge of your own life and not become so dependent on others. Throughout the course of life a person will encounter many changes, whether good or bad. In 'A&P';, 'The Secret Lion';, and 'A Rose for Emily';, the main characters in the stories are Sammy, the boys, and Miss Emily who face changes during their lives. All of these characters are in need of change. Because of their need for change, their lives will become much better. They are filled with wonder and awe about the world around them. No matter what type of person, everyone will encounter changes. It is part of the natural process. A person is encouraged to make these changes for the good. Sammy, the boys, and Miss Emily all encounter changes in their lives that fulfill their need to become something different.
Growing up, I was given the freedom to choose who I wanted to be, to decide what I wanted to do. I grew up with many different opportunities and chances to try out new things. A simple life I led as a child, sheltered and loved by all, but I was oblivious to reality, lost in my own “perfect” world. Yet as I grew up and began to surpass the age of imaginary worlds, the idea of “perfection” had begun to fade and reality began to settle in. Like a splash of cold water, I went from a childish mindset to an adult’s. Child hood play was a thing of the past and responsibility became the norm.
I really like Linh Do she had a unique way of getting her point across and she didn’t try to elaborate on social norms as like she said its unique for all of us and it hit home about what she said about the fork in the road because I had to make the same decision and my parents didn’t pressure me to do any of the above when I graduated. I got told that I should start making a decision about my future but I wasn’t given the ultimatum of go to college or get out of the house. I was glad that these were not thrust upon me and having the freedom to choose was one that I think made me a better person and gave me the chance to choose my path and make my own mistakes which I think were important in me becoming the person that I am today.
My whole life, I have been presented to a single element called change. Change occurs in many different forms and is carried out in many different ways. However, just recently, I have come to the realization that change can be the deepest of all subjects. I always assumed that change occured when you moved to a new town or when you lost someone close to you. Those are elements to change, yes, but change doesn't have to occur over a single dramatic event. It can just happen overnight when your brain determines it's time to do something different.
Paradigm shift, a metamorphosis, means a dramatic change of individual’s or society’s views. Our global society has already undergone some vital paradigm shifts, such as the transition from geocentric model to heliocentric model. More recently, the world has witnessed a major transformation of counterculture, which means the young generations go against traditions and authorities. It is these paradigm shifts that bring the global society a step forward to a more modern and better society. However, our society is still in need of a paradigm shift now to solve serious problems. This paradigm shift should focus more on energy, pollution, climate, water, soil and etc.
Throughout The Metamorphosis, Franz Kafka’s protagonist, Gregor, is not able to assert any power within his life. Instead, Gregor makes myriad sacrifices for his family, to the point of his own detriment. The extent of Gregor’s sacrifice is fateful: he works hard at a job he dislikes to provide his family an income to repay their debt, even though none of his family members work. Gregor has no social life and very little comfort or happiness. But, it is proven through Gregor's transformation that the rest of the family is perfectly capable of work and self-sufficiency; as a matter of fact, the family prospers despite Gregor's infirmity.
I am the kind of person who likes to be in an environment that doesn’t change to often. I’m not a fan of jumping into something new. Adapting to change is one of the hardest things for me and it is the one thing that I need to work on the most. Change happens all around us every day and I need to learn how to deal with it. Change can be good. Change can be bad. It’s just what I’m going to have to work on to become a better leader.
The idea of change is the most constant factor in business today and organisational change therefore plays a crucial role in this highly dynamic environment. It is defined as a company that is going through a transformation and is in a progressive step towards improving their existing capabilities. Organisational change is important as managers need to continue to commit and deliver today but must also think of changes that lie ahead tomorrow. This is a difficult task because management systems are design, and people are rewarded for stability. These two main factors will be discussed with reasons as to why organisational change is necessary for survival, but on the other hand why it is difficult to accomplish.
Shakespeare wrote, “To thine own self be true.” The beginning of Social Change encompasses the beliefs, qualities, and values of individuals. Change is inevitable whether virtuous or corrupt. Consequently, in society virtuous and corrupt change is present. Thus, individuals must be conscious of self in order to contribute effectively to a group. In addition, surety in one’s philosophies, abilities, standards enables the individual to establish sound opinions based on these defined attributes. Nevertheless, individuals with substantial flaws in their character poses a threat to the survival of self, a group, and a community. In other words, the individual becomes an endangered species; as well as, an endangerment to the survival of a group or community. Educators have the stage to assist in promoting positive social change. Therefore, I work to influence social change through educating the minds of our youths and mentoring new teachers.
We all have those days where we feel so hopeless or unable to do anything right. We have all felt that we couldn’t finish school or other life challenges. We question everything about life, that’s what happened with me. I had never had a normal life and now it takes a turn for the worse. I grew up under the circumstances that forced me to become more responsible and mature, which has enabled me to succeed later in life.
In relation to social transformation I have gathered materials that focusses on programs provided for ‘refugees’ living in New Zealand. The purpose of my findings are based on the societies support for ‘refugees’ in terms of human security and directions of life before settling in their new destination. There are stories about ‘refugees’ that need to be shared and stories that need to be forgotten, because it can produce controversy within the society or the universe. But where can these ‘refugees’ go if the place they call home is unsafe or too risky for the lives of their families and for themselves. It’s hard enough to migrate into a new country, but it is devastating for refugees who have experienced the loss of homes and loved ones.
What is stated above happens around us all the time. Something might be proven today, but proven wrong tomorrow. Therefore I completely agree to this statement. But how do we accept something to be knowledge, and what makes one thing knowledge and the other thing just a theory? We can look at it from various aspects.
