Do Video Games Make Kids More Violent? Video games are one of the most addictive things in the world. Researchers said that more than 1.2 billion people are playing games worldwide whatever genre is. Many people buy it to have fun with friends, other people buy it for themselves, and others just buy it because they don’t have nothing to do at home. What many people concern about is whether or not kids should play video games. In my opinion, I believe that video games can make kids more violent for three main factors. First of all, video games are very addictive mainly. Usually, young people prefer action and violent games. For them it’s fun, but they don’t realize that it can be a weapon to change their behavior through society. According to a research done by the New York University, educational videogames can motivate students and it “may yield learning benefits”. Another research done by the Texas A&M International University says that Violent video games helps to relieve stress. It can be true, but it also influences kids negatively. Violent games usually contain explicit language. Kids may learn from the game. They may imitate what they see or hear on the video game.
