Introduction Motivating operations (MO) are real life events that we experience on a daily basis. It also plays a vital role in our decisions, and also influences our day to day actions (Cooper et al, 2012). We are lured and motivated to buy or do things through billboard signs, advertisements, magazines, radio, fashion trends etc.. An example would be someone working overtime to buy the latest new iPhone after driving by an enormous billboard displaying the newest phone. Mo can also momentarily change or alter the value of certain stimulus reinforcements, punishments and consequences from past behaviors (Langthorne, Mcgill, & Oliver, 2013). These are all examples of SD, It has an influence on our day to day life and routines. SD works by telling us what behaviors may be reinforced or punished. If you abide by traffic laws, you decrease your risk of an accident or creating chaos. If you choose not to, you increase your risk of having or creating an accident, getting a fine, losing your license and paying high insurance fees. In addition to traffic laws, the power of music can be considered both MO and SD.It can manipulate the way we feel, think, learn and, behave. According to Melanie D. I went on the computer to read about things I can do to absorb the water. My phone eventually started to work, but it would it would randomly shut off. It was no longer a reliable phone. For the past two weeks, I drove past the a sign that says, T Mobile and decide to stop and buy a new phone. Motivating operations is the phone randomly shutting off and not being reliable. SD is driving past the T Mobile sign. This is also an example of Behavior Altering- consequence of phone falling into the toilet, immediately extinguished my behavior in the past. The second example of an MO would be, my 10 year old daughter, Alana, knows that every night she must vacuum; that is part of her daily chores. She is aware that if I come home and her chores are not done, she will lose her tablet as it has happened in the past. Everyday after work she greets me and informs me that all chores are done. Motivating operations is, not losing her tablet. Sd would be, Alana independently informing that chores are done. This also an example of EO because removing the tablet altered the value because she was deprived of her tablet in the past. This increased targeted behavior and her tablet became a
